TILLER, Juanita Crabtree, 89 of Radford passed away, Tuesday, October 14, 2008.
She was born September 14, 1919, daughter of the late Grover C and Elizabeth Compton Crabtree. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Leslie A. Tiller, brothers; Wayne, Elkanah and George Crabtree, sisters; Mabel Combs, Gaynelle Cook and Ellena Crabtree.
Juanita was raised in Russell County, Virginia, a member of Crabtree Chapel Church, she and her husband lived in Dayton, Ohio for more than forty years. They were charter members of Huber Heights First Baptist Church where they served in many capacities. They later moved back to Radford, Virginia after retirement. They became members of Fairlawn Baptist Church until her husband died and she moved near Williamsburg to be close to her children.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Kathy and Wilhelm Bolles, son and daughter-in-law; David and Donna Tiller, three grandchildren; Amber, Alyssa and Brandon. She is also survived by her sister; Wilma C. Snuffer and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home, Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 6 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday October 17, 2008 at 1:00 PM in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Siegle officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
