Junita Sally Altizer Kinder

Junita Sally Altizer Kinder, 100, died on January 25, 2023. She was born to Clinton H. Altizer and Bessie Quesenberry Altizer in Snowville, Virginia on June 5, 1922.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her baby sister, Willie Sue; her husband Rodney P. Kinder, after 68 years of marriage.
She was a graduate of Auburn High School in Riner, Virginia and was also a graduate of West Virginia Business College. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her two sons, Billy Nye Kinder and wife Carole, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, James Timothy Kinder and wife Lynn of, Maiden North Carolina; one grandson, Christopher Kinder and wife Colleen of, Seffner Florida; two granddaughters, Laura Bucher and husband Matt, of Mooresville, North Carolina and Adrienne Scott and husband Hunter of Stem, North Carolina; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Kennedy Kinder of Seffner, Florida; and one great-grandson, Nolan Scott of Stem, North Carolina.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 11-12 at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow after visitation in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Sunset Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Rodney.
