Katherine Smith Yopp, 78, of Shawsville, VA, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Yopp.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth and Michael Yopp, both of Shawsville; grandson, Kenny Yopp, Jr. of Roanoke; one sister and brother-in-law, Mildred & Lloyd Flinchum of Floyd; and one brother, Howard Smith of WV.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2011, from 5-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011, at 2:00 pm at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Wallace (Buck) Yopp officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to her friends and neighbors.
