NESTER, KATHY WHEELING, age 51, of Elliston, passed away Monday, January 1, 2007 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Oveda Bryant Wheeling. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 32 years, Roger Nester; her son, Eric Nester; seven sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita & Everette Dowdy, Margaret Hooker, Loretta Furrow, Levon & Charlie Furrow, Ruby Lutz, Phyllis & Essie Bowles, and Dorothy & Leslie Bowles. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the Aker?s Family Cemetery in Fagg with Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Harry McCoy and the Carilion New River Valley Hospice. The Nester Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg.
