Kendra A. Smith

Kendra A. Smith, 31, was granted her angel wings May 21, 2020 in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Kendra was born April 25, 1989 in Radford VA. Though Kendra’s life was cut short she impacted many with her loving, giving, and kind spirit. Kendra loves making people laugh, crafting, being outdoors and being by the river, but most of all she loved her family. Kendra worked at Arbor Acres Retirement Home in Winston-Salem North Carolina as a supervisor over the dining hall where she loved all of her residents immensely. Kendra was preceded in death by her Papaw and Mamaw, Robert and Dora Dowdy, and Grandfather Conway Smith. She is survived by her mother Renee Smith and boyfriend Frank James, father Jerry Crawford, her fiancé Caleb Carver, her three children Kallie Gallo (8), Carsyn Carver (3), and Kensley Carver (8 months). Her siblings Carissa Hancock and fiancé Saabbre Aiken, Jerry Lee Crawford and fiancé Yasmine Houston, Joshua Crawford, Courtney Crawford, and Aj Crawford, 7 nieces and nephews and 6 aunts and uncles. Kendra’s funeral services will be held at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, VA.
