Kenneth R. Acord

Kenneth Roger Acord, 77 of Christiansburg, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Burl and Gracie Acord; wife, Dana Bursey Acord and second wife, Helen Sames Acord; brothers, Lonnie E. Acord, Steve B. Acord and Johnathan G. Acord and sister, Lucy V. Acord.
Left to cherish his memory are his five sons, Henry Jefferson Acord, Ted Allen and Dee Acord, Tim Kevin Acord, Clifton Kenneth and Jennifer Acord, Glen Curtis and Jenny Acord; grandchildren, Mitchell, Michael, Leslie, Levi, Austin, Matt, Lacey, Grace and Garrett; great-grandchildren, Brody, Rowan and Asher; brother, Gary and Vicki Acord; sister, Patsy and Verlin Honsiger and Karen Acord; sisters-in-law, Winifred Acord and Jo-Ann White.
Kenneth was a 1960 graduate of Sophia High School in WVa. He was the Plant Manager of Fairchild, Inc., A Founder of Patrick Enterprises and Manager of Fabrication Shop at Cundiff HTG and Air and member of Sugar Grove Baptist.
The family will receive friends Thursday January 31, 2019 from 6-8:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place Friday, February 01, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at The Acord Family Cemetery, Sugar Grove 1250 Bow Hill Rd., Christiansburg, Va. 24073.
