Kenneth Custer, Sr.
October 3, 1942 — March 31, 2006
CUSTER, KENNETH HOUSTON, SR., age 63, of Christiansburg, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2006.
He was a retired employee of Virginia Tech with over thirty-six years of service. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Custer, sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Shari Custer, Darrell and Gail Custer, all of Christiansburg, Jeff and Michelle Custer, Woodbridge, VA, Kevin Custer, Richmond, VA; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Jamie, Ashley, Kenny, III and Karly; sisters, Carol Cadle, South Carolina, Mary Price, Blacksburg; brothers, Wilmer Custer, Alfred Custer, Doug Sheppard and Ricky Sheppard all of Blacksburg, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2006, at the Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 3, at the Cambria Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by Rev. Jube Burk, Rev. James Walker and Rev. Lee Sarver with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery. The Custer family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, VA (382-2612)
