Kristin Atkinson

Kristin Atkinson 38, of Christiansburg, Va. passed away Wednesday October 03, 2018. She is preceded in death by her sister, Amanda Henderson; paternal grandfather, Jack Atkinson, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Henry and Phyllis Garman; and cousin, Jacob Atkinson.
She is survived by her father, Jack Atkinson, Jr. (Gail); mother, Kathy Robertson (David); grandmother, Betty Atkinson; daughter, Bailey Atkinson; son, Connor Johnson; uncle, Timothy Atkinson (Penny); aunts, Charlotte and Bill Bush and Janet and Alan Rodriques; and cousin, Joshua Atkinson (Kelly) and their children, Tyler, Isaiah and Jonah.

Kristin graduated from Nursing School in 2001 and worked as an RN in the Trauma Center of Baptist Hospital, NC. She especially enjoyed her work with the Donor Eye Bank. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 07, 2018 from 3-4:30pm at Horne Funeral Home. The Memorial Service will take place Sunday, October 07, 2018 at 4:30pm in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Flowers are appreciated, although donations in Kristin’s name may be made to the Humane Society Animal Shelter SPCA, 1183 Flanagan Drive, Christiansburg, Virginia, 24073.
