Lawrence Sutphin

SUTPHIN, LAWRENCE EDWARD, age 72, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2005 at his home. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Esther Sutphin; brother, Lilbern Sutphin, and sister, Irene Jenkins.

Survivors include his children, Debbie VanDyke of Christiansburg; Larry Sutphin of Christiansburg; Sherry & Donald Vaughn of South Carolina; Paul Sutphin of North Carolina; Daryl Sutphin of Christiansburg; Carol Sutphin of Elliston; mother of his children, Arlie Sutphin; sisters, Velt Linkous and Nina Sutphin of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Charles DiRico, Jr., Christiansburg; Tony Sutphin of South Carolina; Brooks Sutphin, Christiansburg; Lauren Sutphin, Christiansburg; Cody Vaughn of South Carolina; great grandchild, Brooklyn Sutphin of Christiansburg; special friends of the family, Dorothy Clements and Ron Wight.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2. 2005, at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
