GIBSON, Lewis Douglas “Doug”, 62 of Christiansburg, died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at his home.
He is survived by his wife; Barbara Rose Gibson, five step sons; Tommy, Michael, Harvey, Richard, and David Rose, one brother and sister-in-law; Charles and Jane Gibson of Boones Mill, VA, sisters and brother-in-law; Rachel and Herman Proffitt of Roanoke, Ruth Billard of FL, and Crystal Eanes of Roanoke. Mr. Gibson is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call anytime Sunday, May 25, 2008 at The Horne Funeral Home after 12 noon where the family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Everette Shepherd and Mr. John Tibbs officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the New River Holiness Church, 3635 Peppers Ferry Road, Christiansburg, Virginia.
