Lillian Carol Conner

Lillian Carol Conner was born September 15, 1946, to the late Wilford Archie
and Lake Evelyn Willis on Goose Creek in Check VA, Floyd County. She married
James Earl Conner, Jr. Feb 3, 1973. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in
2023. She is survived by daughter, Rhonda Conner-Morgan and son-in-law
Anthony Morgan; grandsons, Brock Collins (Rebecca), and Ryan Collins
(Brittany); great grandchildren, Grayson, Hayden, Mackenzie, Carson and
Conner Collins; siblings, Ruth Willis Price, and Michael Willis (Wanda); and
numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Conner, Jr.; siblings, Edna
Willis Morris, Thomas Wesley Willis, Wilford Archie Willis, Jr., and Jerry Lee
Willis.

She retired on March 1, 2019, after thirty-seven years with the United States
Postal Service. The last twenty-seven years she served as the Postmaster in
Riner, VA. She enjoyed stock car racing and had many years of success and
enjoyment with her husband as co-owners of Conner Racing.

The family would like to thank the University of Virginia Emily Couric Cancer
Center, Dr. Linda Duska, and her medical staff for the extensive care and love
provided for the last 5 years of her life.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 in the Horne Funeral Home
Chapel with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset
Cemetery in Christiansburg, VA. The family will receive friends prior to the
service from 11:00-12:00 at the funeral home.
