Linda Faye Steele, 69, and her husband, Kelly Clinton Steele, 72, both of Christiansburg, passed away on October 17, 2021.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley Minor Lovern and Dorothy Lee Cromer Lovern; her siblings, Johnnie Lovern, Diane Hughes, and Kathy Brammer; as well as brother-in-law, Charles Agee. She is survived by their daughter, Tammy Godbey (Toby); grandchildren, Anthony Godbey and Ethan Godbey; siblings, Jean Steele (Earl Hodges), Fay Adams (Buddy), Nina Eanes, Shirleen Luckkala (Pete), Hazel Agee, Freddy Lovern (Teresa), Jerry Lovern (Jane); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly Calvin Steele and Edith Marie Steele; and brother-in-law, G.W. Yates. He is survived by their daughter, Tammy Godbey (Toby); grandchildren, Anthony Godbey and Ethan Godbey; siblings, Elizabeth Yates and Frank Steele (Pam); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Kelly was a member of the Christiansburg Fire Department and served in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star.
Visitation is Tuesday, October 26, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, with Rev. Ralph Steele officiating.
