PARKER, LINDA FARMER, age 44, of Elliston, passed away at her home Thursday, November 10, 2005 after a long battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wiley Owens. She is survived by her loving husband, Gregg Marvin Parker of Elliston and her step-daughter Allison Parker of Snow Creek, VA; one son Dustin Farmer and his girlfriend, Jessica Martin of Pulaski; one daughter, Shelly Farmer and boyfriend, Steve Perkins of Elliston, VA; five grandchildren, Taylor and Abbey Farmer; and Corey Martin of Pulaski; Cody and Devan Perkins of Elliston, VA.
She will be missed by all her friend and co-workers at Radford Arsenal where she was a security guard for Wachenhut Corporation for three years. The family wishes to express special thanks to Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the loving care given to Linda.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13 at Seneca Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2005 at the Seneca Baptist Church in Elliston with Pastor Virgil McHone officiating. Interment will follow in the Parker Family Cemetery, Elliston. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the family to help offset expenses. The Parker Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, (382-2612).
