She will be greatly missed by her husband, Matt Lawson; her sons, Andy and Aaron Vanhoy, and Austin Daugherty; her grandsons, Jacob and Caleb Vanhoy; granddaughter, Adrianna Daugherty; father, Calvin Boyd of Hiwassee; mother, Belinda (David) Hinkley of Dublin; special mother-in-law, ‘Mom Linda’; Lisa’s sisters, Carol (Charles) Lawson and Sherry (Doug) Ballew; brothers, Don and Jay (Cindy) Boyd, Ricky and David Hinkley; sister-in-law, Michelle Lawson and her daughter Paige; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends, including best friends, Greg and his daughter Heather and baby Miles.
We remember Lisa for the beautiful person she was. She was always giving to others. Lisa loved her family and especially her boys and grandchildren. Lisa was the photographer in the family and always had her camera ready. She was a firm believer in God, and prayed often. She loved fishing and camping, giving to others, having family time and sitting by the campfire. Lisa always talked about her trips to Tennessee, and longing to visit again. Her love for life and for others was evident through every visit to her home. She always insisted on giving us something, and taking family pictures, and especially selfies. We love you Lisa.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday, May 5, 2017, from noon to 1:45 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will follow at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Doug Ballew officiating. Flowers are appreciated or if you would prefer, donations to the Funeral Home would be appreciated to help offset funeral expenses.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad and the Christiansburg Police Department.
