Lois P. Bersch

Lois P. Bersch, 90, of Christiansburg, Va., died Sunday, August 23, 2015, at The
Episcopal Church Home in Rochester, New York.
She was born December 28, 1924, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, daughter of the late Luke A. Poland and Ollie Fink Poland. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Christiansburg. She attended Ferum College and Radford College earning a teaching degree. She earned her Masters of Education from Virginia Tech in 1974. She was happily married to her husband Frank P. Bersch (d. 2010) for 60 years. She taught elementary school for over 30 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Fran Ellen Kreider and husband Jonathan of Lima, NY,
and Anne Young of Arroyo Grande, CA; and six grandsons.
A service was held in Rochester NY on August 29. A celebration of Frank and Lois’ life will be held at a later date in Christiansburg.
