Lois French Snider

Lois French Snider, 92, of Christiansburg, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Grayson Snider, Jr.; parents, William Arthur and Thelma Hager French; stillborn son; daughter, Melissa Simmers; sisters, Dot Ellington, Eva Lafon; brothers, Kenneth Nelson, Levi Nelson, Clifford French; and niece, Virginia Ellen Nelson.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Yvonne Laffoon, Shelia Bond; grandchildren, A. Renée Stanley (Trevor), Amanda Simmers, Benjamin Ballard (Mallory); great-grandchildren, Isaiah Coles Ballard and Lexi Hancock; son-in-law, Steve Simmers; special nieces, Kemmy Sue Nelson Barnhill and Dottie Nelson; special nephew, Edward French (Connie); cousins, Linda Russo, Tommy Hager, June Moye Thomas; several other nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Eleni and Sandi.

The family requests if you have something Lois made for you, such as a baby quilt, that you bring that item. And please feel free to send flowers – Mom loved them!

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mike Vest and Rev. Kenneth Wells officiating. Interment will follow in the Harless Family Cemetery, McCoy.
