Louease M. Jones went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Garnon P. & Helen M. Jones.
She is survived by her cousins, Robert W. Jones of Vinton, VA, John David Hayworth of High Point, NC, Susan McNeely of Cary, NC, David R. Jones, Jr. of Butler, TN, R. H. Walton, Jr. of Christiansburg, VA, Samuel M. B. Walton of Greensboro, NC, Mildred Ramsey, of Charlotte, NC, Irvine Dillon of Boones Mill, VA, Doris Bruce of Roanoke, VA, and Emma B. Wallace of Sneeds Ferry, NC; and a very special friend, Jane Rivers.
Louease was a faithful member of the Cambria Baptist Church since her baptism in 1932. She led the Tuesday Morning Ladies Prayer Group, had taught the Fidelia Sunday School Class for many years and lovingly called them “my girls”, and worked diligently in the Women on Mission Program.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from 6-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at the Cambria Baptist Church at 11 am on Wednesday, August 22nd. Officiating the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Keith Crowgey and her former pastor, Dr. Thomas Harvey. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
