KIRK, LUCY LOUELLA GRAHAM, age 89, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, January 8, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Bruce and Lucy Moses Graham, and her husband, Clyde (Bill) Franklin Kirk, three sons; Clyde Kirk, Jr., Charles Kirk and Gerald Kirk.
She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Joe Kirk and his special love, Paddi Lucas of Radford; Juanita Harvey and husband, George of Radford; Mary Sutphin of Christiansburg; Sally Cox and husband, Elwood of Christiansburg; Barbara Shelburne and husband, John of Boones Mill; and nineteen grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Survived by sisters, Mildred Blankenship of Shawsville and Claudine Turpin of Elliston.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the Clyde F. Kirk Nursing Scholarship Fund, Radford University Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 6915, Radford, VA 24142.
