Luther Edward Lucas

Luther Edward Lucas, 86, of Shawsville, VA, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022at Skyline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Floyd, VA. Luther was born in Giles County, VA on February 14, 1936to the late Stuart Edward Lucas and Virgie Lucas Lucas. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Reba Dare Lucas; a son, Gary DeWayne Lucas; and a sister Ovella Shaver.
Luther is survived by his daughters, Debbie Young, Dianna Wright, and Tammy Harris; his sons, Randy Lucas and Monty Lucas; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm.
