2003 Maeghan 2025

Maeghan McKenzie Jarmon

July 11, 2003 — March 19, 2025

Radford

Maeghan McKenzie Jarmon, passed away at the tender age of just 21 years old, on March 19, 2025, at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Radford, Virginia.

She entered this world on July 11, 2003, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Arriving two weeks early and only two ounces above preemie weight, Maeghan was a beautiful, tiny bundle of joy. Maeghan was a kind, loving, sensitive and caring young woman. Always smiling, she was willing to be a friend to all who would accept her friendship.

Maeghan attended Christiansburg High School and was a member of the graduating class of 2021. She loved to sing and while attending high school, was a member of the CHS choir for four years. This fostered her love of music even more. As she would walk around the house singing and humming her favorite tunes or just singing in the shower, Maeghan always carried a melody in her heart.

Following graduation, Maeghan was accepted into both Radford University and Virginia Tech. She began her studies at Radford University, then transferred to Virginia Tech to continue pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising. Attending Virginia Tech was a dream realized for Maeghan. She was never more proud than when she became a member of the "Hokie Nation".

Fashion was Maeghan's trademark. She loved all things fashion: clothes, shoes, handbags, makeup and hair styles. If you needed help putting an outfit together, she was your go-to person. She aspired to one day get into modeling or become a fashion consultant/stylist, and eventually owning her own boutique. Maeghan dreamed of one day being able to visit the fashion capitals of the world: New York, Paris, Milan and London. Sadly, that dream will never be realized.

Maeghan was an avid reader and enjoyed books of poetry, as well as reading the classics. She enjoyed long walks and was learning to roller skate. She loved animals and dogs were her latest passion.

Maeghan's life is a tragic tale of a young woman gone too soon, with countless dreams unrealized. She was a beautiful, vibrant, loving soul, who had so much to offer the world around her. I wish she could have realized that she didn't have to conform to what society viewed as " perfect". My sweet baby girl, I wish you could have seen that, just as God made you, you were enough. So my prayer for you, is that you're resting joyfully, pain free, singing and dancing and finally at peace.

Maeghan is survived by her parents, Regina D. Alexander and Michael D. Jarmon (Summer), and her loving sister, Jordan Jarmon. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her best friend, Mackenzie Slone, who all love her and will miss her sweet, smiling presence.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at New Pentecostal United Holy Church, located at: 2200 Wake Forest Road, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060.

Maeghan's sweet smile, joyous laughter and loving nature will forever be missed by all who truly knew her and by all whose lives she touched during her short time on this earth. We love you sweetie and look forward to the day when we can all finally reunite in heaven.
