Margaret Ann Peyton

Margaret Ann W. Peyton, 95 of Christiansburg, passed away March 26, 2025.

She was born in Christiansburg, VA on March 6, 1930, to the late Otha and Genevieve Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Eugene Wood D. Peyton.

Margaret Ann is survived by her son, David Sutton Peyton (Jacquie), granddaughter, Abigail Ann Peyton; son, Philip Walker Peyton, grandsons, Philip Andrew Peyton (Sarah), Dustin Allen Peyton, and Dallas Walker Peyton. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Ayla Grace; and a host of other family and friends.

After finishing Radford College, Margaret Ann was receptionist for twelve years to Dr. Stephen Beeken and Dr. Charlton Graybeal. She also served 20 years as an administrative assistant for the Montgomery County Public Schools.

Margaret Ann was a faithful lifetime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the Chancel Choir, Prayer Group, United Methodist Women, Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and Circle.

A Funeral Service in celebration of her life will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with Drew Peyton and Rev. Mike Derflinger officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to the Service.
