Martha Alice Warr, 79, of Christiansburg, VA passed away Friday July 4, 2014 at Heritage Hall Rehab Center. A native of Anna IL, she loved to go fishing, play bingo and venture out to the weekend yard sales. She retired from Giant Food after 32 years of service.
Martha is preceeded in death by her parents, Opal & Amos Hankla and a brother, Amos Gerald Hankla.
Martha is survived by several siblings, Juanita Daume, Jackson, MO; Joe Hankla & wife, Viola, Carbondale, IL; Betsie Stokes, Anna, IL; Robert Wayne Hankla & wife, Charlotte, Dyer, IN; Harold Dean Hankla, Anna, IL; Richard Hankla & wife, Joyce, Decatur, AL; two loving daughters, Brenda Sue Smith & late husband, Jim and Debra Diane Branagan & husband, Tommy both of Christiansburg; adoring grandchildren, Michael “Mikie” Cox; Michelle Smith, both of Buckingham; Tommy Ray Branagan; Martha “Mart” Toler and husband, TJ, Christiansburg; Robert Smith, Arlington, VA; Rodney Smith, Buckingham; four great grandchildren, Ashley, Lexi, Kayla and baby Tyler; several nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to give appreciation to special people including the very special Debbie Farmer and other Advance Home Health Care Providers as well as Sally & Dean Muck.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 8th at 4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home with Rev. Charles DeHart officiating.
