Mary Arabelle Goodwin

Mary Arabelle Goodwin, 81, of Christiansburg, VA, passes away on Friday, November 10, 2023. She was born January 4, 1942, to the late Ernest and Hazel Sanders Hilton. Mary is also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Goodwin; son, Mickey Goodwin; and daughter; Angela Thornton; brothers, Ernest Leroy Hilton and James Cortland Hilton; and sister, Betty Ann Bremer.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Lynwood Goodwin; grandson, David Thornton; great granddaughter, Makayla Thornton; great grandson, Jake Thornton all of Christiansburg; sister, Ruth Carbaugh of Narrows; aunts, Birdie Cumbee, Naomi Merrix, and Beaula Sanders all of Giles County; her nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog “Booboo”.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home and a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. Interment will be Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
