Mary Cox Marshall

Mary Cox Marshall, 88, of Christiansburg, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marion Marshall; son, Randy Marshall; parents, Isaac Luther and Vinecie Jane Cox; brothers, Ham, Willard, and Herbert Cox; sisters, Nettie Duncan, Mabel Carey, and French Hogan.

Mary is survived by her son, Donald Marshall; grandchildren, James, Mallory, Jessica, Thomas, and Katherine; sister, Dorcie Semones; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She had many friends that will miss her from Imperial Reading, the Garment Factory, Hubbell Lighting, and Wades Floral Dept.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 22, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Larry Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.

To honor Mary’s memory and in lieu of flowers, the family requests you spend a couple of hours having a meal with an elderly person.
