Mary H. Miller, 85 of Christiansburg, went to be with her Lord on November 14, 2013.
Born in Panther, WV, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Bertha Lester Hagy; husband, James Miller; three brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Pat Stallard and husband Glen, and Sandy Lovern and husband Tony; son, Tim Miller and wife Donna; sister, Cheryl Austin and husband Willie; grandchildren, Karen & Warren Richardson, Matt & Julie Stallard, Anthony & Dana Lovern, Danny & Ember Lovern, Mac Miller, and Miranda Miller; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends she loved very much; as well as special friends Mimi Harshbarger and Doris Miller.
Mary was a member of the Lighthouse Family Ministries (formerly the Union Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church) for over 50 years. She was also a member of the R.S.V.P. for 11 ½ years. She loved her family and spending time with them. She loved life, being thankful for her many years. While we are saddened by her passing, we are comforted to know she is in the loving arms of Jesus.
The family extends special thanks to our church family, Pastor Buford and Bonnie Linkous, the staff at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center for all the thoughts and prayers from everyone.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 4-6 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Family Ministries Church, Riner, with Rev. Buford Linkous and Rev. Steve Board officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
