Mary Ellen Reed Moses, 89, of Christiansburg passed away on her 70th wedding anniversary Monday, August 22, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, S.Q. and Eula James Reed; and son, Hank Moses.
She is survived by her beloved husband, H. I. Moses; and daughters, Ellen Tompkins, Julia Page and husband, Marvin; grandchildren, Russ Dudley, Jacqueline Dudley, Joseph and Preston Tompkins, Henry Moses; and great-grandchildren, Logan Collins, and Autumn and Alex Tompkins.
Mary Ellen attended Milligan College and Virginia Tech, majoring in Home Economics. She was a member of the Old Guard of Virginia Tech and was a faithful member of the Christiansburg Church of Christ. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at 11:00 am. at the Christiansburg Church of Christ. The funeral will be held at 12:00 pm at the Christiansburg Church of Christ, with Mr. Dennis Curd officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
