REED, MARY HELEN, age 78, of Shawsville, VA passed away Friday, March 24, 2006 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.
The widow of the late Thurman Reed, she is survived by children, Kathy Slate & husband, Kermit, Waymond Reed & wife, Donna, Mike Reed, all of Shawsville, VA, Judy Taylor & husband, Bobby, South Carolina; a sister, Stella Akers; a brother, Wilton Rakes; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 Saturday evening at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 26, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Ben Whitaker and Rev. Jim Sutphin with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery. The Reed family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, VA (382-2612)
