Mary Anissa Wood

Mary Anissa Wood, 57 of Shawsville, passed away October 29, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Andy Wood; aunts, Barbara and Mattie; and uncle, Arthur.

Mary is survived by her significant other, Ormand Honaker; sons, Andrew 'Kevin' Wood (Stella), Tony Cole Odham; grandchildren, Makayla Wood, Jasmine Wood, Scarlett Wood, John 'Charlie' Mason; mother, Mary Ellen Wood; siblings, Mike Wood (Renee), Tammy Dawson; nephew, Damon Wood.  She is also missed by cousin, Nicole Lunn (Murray); aunts and uncle, Lilly Blankenship, Regina Martin (Richard), and Junior Mills (Tonya).

Mary worked as an accountant at Duncan Ford.  She adored her grandchildren and loved being a 'MawMaw'.  Mary also enjoyed dancing, going to flea markets, visiting the Indian Reservation in TN, and cooking for her family.

The family would like to thank Martha Miller and the Duncan Ford Motors employees.

Visitation will be Monday, November 4, 2024, from 12-1 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel, with Simon Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
