Mason Wallace, 69, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012.
Mason attended NRCC and then Virginia Tech. He worked at Virginia Tech in the Dept. of Geological Sciences and was retired Senior Electrical Engineer for IBM. Mason was a born again Christian of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and archery.
Mason was preceded in death by his parents Tom & Georgia Wallace; and a grandson Ryan David Wallace.
He is survived by his children, Jeff Wallace, Kim Ratcliff, David Wallace & wife Monica; grandchildren Josh Linkous, Aaron Ratcliff, Danielle Alderman & husband Bobby, Jacob Wallace & wife Lindsay, Emilee Wallace, Christian Wallace; a great-granddaughter Laney Beth Alderman; a brother Gene Wallace and a sister Patty France.
The family will receive friends at the Horne Funeral Home from 12:30 – 1:45 on Friday, June 15, 2012 followed by a graveside service at 2 pm at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, with Pastor Mike Vest officiating.
