Matthew Clay Moses, 35, of Christiansburg passed away on October 6, 2021 after fighting a long and courageous battle against COVID-19.
He was born on June 13, 1986 in Radford, Virginia to Dennis and Teresa Moses. Matthew graduated from Floyd County High School in 2004 and began his career as a mechanic which led him to become a Master ASE certified mechanic at Firestone.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides: Gerald Moses and Martha Montgomery and George and Nellie Smith; Uncles: Dana Moses and Roger Smith Sr.; Cousins: Ricky Smith Jr., Levi Rakes, Angel Haley, and Ashley Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife Brandy Moses and their two daughters Alyssa Bland and Mia Moses; Mother: Teresa Moses; Father and stepmother: Dennis and Crissy Moses; Brothers: Joshua and Jacob Moses; Sister: Heather Hall; Sister and brother-in-law: Angela and Justin Hopper; Stepsiblings Benjamin Vest and Taylor Yaunsem; Nieces: Brookelyn and Madelyn Hall, Miley Hopper, Grace Anderson, and Savannah Harris; Nephew: Dylan Hall; Uncles: Bruce Moses, Ricky Smith Sr., David Smith Sr., Justin Quesenberry, and Ray Graham; Aunts: Sandra Davidson, Diane Quesenberry, Rita Graham, and Linda Bailey.
He is also survived by numerous extended family, many friends, and his beloved Acura Integra.
Matthew will be remembered for his radiant smile, his love for family and friends, his ability to make everyone laugh, and his passion for all things fast.
