Maxine S Canada

Maxine Sizemore Canada, 98, of Roanoke, VA departed this earth to join her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 9, 2022. She was born October 16, 1923 in Pierpoint, WV to the late Jack and Florence Sizemore. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Edison Canada, sisters Eileen Tedder and Helen Burton, and her daughter-in-law, Lane Canada.
​She is survived by her son Lloyd H. Canada and wife Marcia of Stanardsville, VA, son Jerry L. Canada of Roanoke, VA, granddaughter Michelle Proffitt (Greg), granddaughter Heather Nothstine (Doug), grandson Ben Canada (Denise), granddaughter Jennie Weeks (Brian), grandson Adam Canada (Melanie) and 12 great grandchildren.
​A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 12th at 11 AM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg by Rev. Charlie Briscoe. Family and friends are invited to gather following the service at The Summit Restaurant, 95 College St, Christiansburg, VA 24073. The family would like to thank the many dedicated staff at Friendship Assisted Living for their excellent and loving care.
