Michael Dean DeCosta

Michael Dean DeCosta, 61, of Christiansburg, passed away on February 2, 2015. He was preceded in death by his dad, William DeCosta, Sr.; brother, William ‘Billy’ DeCosta, Jr.; and daughter, Dana Michelle DeCosta.

He is survived by his wife, Shari DeCosta; mother, Alma DeCosta; son, Mitchell DeCosta; step-daughter, Michelle Light and husband, Kenny; seven grandchildren with one on the way; two sisters, Marie Morris and JoAnn Herndon and husband Bob; brother, Steve DeCosta and wife Melody; and other extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 5, 2015, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will commence at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
