Quesenberry, Michael Edward, 52, of Riner, beloved son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on Monday September 28, 2009.
Michael grew up in Riner, and after graduating from Auburn High School in 1975, spent the rest of his life in the area because of how much he loved it and the community. He was a friend to almost every person he came across, always willing to lend a helping hand and he touched more lives than he was aware of.
Preceding him in death was his mother Shirley Chafin Quesenberry. He was survived by his father and step-mother Frank E. and Linda Quesenberry of Christiansburg and sister and brother-in-law Deborah and Scott Segrest of Atlanta. Michael, “Mike” to many, is also survived by his son, Lucas E., daughter and son-in-law, Lacey and Mark Levy, and his granddaughter, “Pawpaw’s little fighter”, Krystlen Grace. While he spent most of his time in a big rig, his heart was always with the ones he loved and held closest to him. He enjoyed spending time on the farm with his Dad, fixing up the Duster with his son, and spending Saturday mornings with ‘his girls’. He will be missed by many and forgotten by no one.
The family will receive guests at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral will be held at Horne Funeral Home on Friday at 2 p.m. Internment following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
