Michael Scott Snider was born on September 27, 1989 in Christiansburg, VA. At the young age of 27 he passed away on October 1, 2016. He was a devoted father, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. He loved his family and friends with his whole heart. He is survived by his precious daughter, Arabella Alexis Snider and fiancé, Amy Lytton; mother, Nancy Snider; Sister and brother-in-law, Ashley Snider and David Dickerson; nephews, Connor and Kaiden Dickerson that he loved dearly. He is also survived by his special pawpaw, Curtis Snider Sr. of Christiansburg; grandmother, Sally Duncan of Christiansburg; special uncles, Curtis and Russell Snider and Ducky Phillips; special aunts and Husbands, Connie and Ricky Widner of Christiansburg, Pat and Gary Koran of Roanoke, Linda Snider of Floyd, Becky and Wayne Akers of Riner; cousins, David and Kim Phillips, Brandon Akers, Christina Roberts, and Chelsea and Cody Snider; special friends Ronnie and Doug Hardymon and Gordon who Michael called his “Big Brother” from Norwood Development, also left to cherish his memory are numerous friends and their families, especially Brad and Justin.
At the little age of 5 Michael began playing sports for the Auburn Community. He was an avid Football, basketball and baseball player. Michael always loved being outdoors from the time he could walk. He spent much of his childhood hunting and fishing with his Pawpaw and uncles. Michael also loved watching Virginia Tech Football and The Walking Dead. He will be missed by so many.

The family will be welcoming friends at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg on Thursday October 6, 2016 from 6p-7p for visitation and celebration of life from 7p-8p. Reverend Mike Price will be officiating.
