YOPP, Milton Lee, Sr., 84, of Christiansburg, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011.
He was very committed to his family and friends. He spent many years of service and retired from the milk industry, having worked for Sealtest, Flavor-Rich, and Kraft. He enjoyed the outdoors with gardening and hunting. Hobbies included antiquing and flea marketing. He also was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during WWII.
Milton was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Jones Yopp; brothers, Clem and Harvey Yopp; sisters, Violet Duncan and Blanche Hinkle.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Milton, Jr. and Sherry Yopp, Danny and Dru Yopp, Ronnie Yopp, and Bonnie and Monte Smith; grandchildren, Nicholas Yopp and wife Laura, and Elaine Smith. Survivors also include special friend Paige Kemp, her daughter, Carletta and their family. Surviving brothers and spouses are Donald and Nancy Yopp, Samuel and Frankie Yopp, Frank and Barbara Yopp; two sisters, Dulcie Trimble and Thelma Dove. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Family will receive friends on Monday, June 6, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Home Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Home Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Turner and Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. Intermit will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
