CHUMBLEY, NANCY MCCOY, 83, of Elliston, VA, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2011.
She was born to Allen & Gladys McCoy from McCoy, VA, on July 14, 1927. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley David Chumbley, Sr., 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son, David Chumbley, Jr., of Radford, VA; daughter Gail Hooper of Elliston, VA; 1 granddaughter, Nicole Hooper; 2 grandsons, Jake and wife, Jennifer Chumbley of Cleveland, Va, and Keith Chumbley of Salem; 4 great-grandchildren, Morgan & Megan Chumbley of Cleveland, VA, and RyLeigh & Addison Chumbley of Salem, VA; 1 brother and his wife, A. M. & Toby McCoy of Roanoke; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We would like to thank Rehab at Heritage Hall Villa 2 and Mom’s special CNA’s, Crystal and Angie.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 19, 2011, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and on Sunday, March 20, 2011, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at Horne Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 21, 2011, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Wayne Powell officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Cemetery.
