Nancy Spangler Yopp

Nancy Spangler Yopp, 68, of Shawsville, VA entered her heavenly home on Friday, January 26, 2018.  She left this world with her daughter holding her hand and granddaughter by her side.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Walter “Jack” and Mamie Hunt Spangler, and infant son, Joey.

She is survived by her husband, Donald C. Yopp; daughter, Crystal “C.D.” (Tony) Wright; granddaughter, Ayla S. Wright; step-son, David (Diane) Yopp; brother, James “Spanky” Spangler; niece, Amy Spangler; great-nieces, Cassidy Hatfield, Izzabella and Natalie Tingler; sister, Nona (Pete) King; nephew, Kevin King; niece, Melissa (David) Guill; great-nephews, Riley, Ricky, and T.J. Guill; niece, Mendy (David) Ward; great-nephews, Matt (Allison) Sirry and Jacob Ward; great-niece, Becky Ward; cousins, Mike and Summer Norwood, Beth Norwood Joiner and many special friends she held close to her heart.

Nancy was an active member of Seneca Baptist Church and Elliston-Shawsville VFW Post 4920 and Auxiliary.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm. at Horne Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Pastor John Collins officiating.  Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Please join family and friends for a time of celebration in the fellowship hall at Seneca Baptist Church following the interment service.
