Noah Thomas (Tom) Poff, 80, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Tom was born August 25, 1937 to the late C. W. and Mildred W. Poff in Sugar Grove in Montgomery Co., VA, and he loved to speak of the time he spent there. Tom and his father formed C. W. Poff & Son in 1957, and thus began a lifelong career in the residential construction business.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Huff Poff; his sister, Jean P. Galloway; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Kathy Poff; and Bob and Annette Poff. He is also survived by two nephews, Rodney Galloway, and Robbie Poff and family; and aunt and uncle, Dot and Gil Yates of Atlanta; and numerous cousins who were always part of the Sugar Grove stories.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Horne Funeral Chapel by Rev. Neal Turner. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
