Nora Flinchum
November 25, 1922 — July 16, 2014
Nora Lena Smith Flinchum, 91, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Andrew and Ellie Smith; son, Vernon Flinchum; granddaughter, Sandra Lovell; grandsons, William Flinchum and Jerry Wayne Alfred, Jr. She is survived by her children, Gracie Sally of Danville, VA, Jimmy Flinchum and his wife Dorothy of Christiansburg, Bertha Lovell and her husband “Buckeye” of Ironto, VA, Rufus Flinchum and his wife Tammy of New Castle, VA, and Brady Flinchum and his wife Eaing of Little Rock, AR; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Melvin Smith of McCoy, VA.
Nora was a member of Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Richard Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in the VA Conference Pentecostal Holiness Cemetery, Ruebush Road, Dublin.
