Odell Bolt Perdue, age 91, formerly of Shawsville, passed away on October 14, 2014, at Commonwealth Assisted Living (Wheatland Hills), Christiansburg.

Born at Camp Creek near Willis on December 12, 1922, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Laura Hylton Bolt; five brothers, Elmer, Taft, Lonnie, John, and Ward Bolt; five sisters, Edna Pugh, Rosetta ‘Pat’ Nixon, Ora Price, Delia Shepherd, and Estelle Powers; husband, Robert Clinton Perdue; grandson, Jason King; sons-in-law, Jimmy King and Wayne East. Surviving are her children, Judy East of Elliston, Robert Perdue and wife Jean of Blacksburg, and Kathy Conner and husband Reggie of Shawsville; grandchildren, Rob East, Dean East and wife Shirley, Jeffrey King, Amy Downing and husband David, Kelly Linkenhoker and husband Bill, Kim Blair and husband Tommy, Todd Perdue and wife Carin; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Piedmont Cemetery, Shawsville.
