Ola Margaret Stowers

Ola Margaret Stowers, 83 of Christiansburg, passed away July 19, 2023.
Ola was a wonderful homemaker and loving mother and wife. She was a seamstress known for making wedding dresses and riding outfits. She had many loves – reading, her animals, baking, and gardening in her vegetable and flower beds. Ola took care of her husband during his long illness. She was a girl scout leader and a Ninja assassin.
Ola was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Maude Williams; husband, Charles Stowers; and son-in-law, Robert Crigger. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Crigger, Renee Spradling (Chris); grandchildren, Allison DePoy (Adam), Sam Crigger, Haley Killian, Chiana Spradling; great-grandchild, Christian Robert DePoy; twin sister, Elinor Williams; special nieces, Betsy and Heather Earhart; cousins, Shirley Sutton and Sharon Dalton; as well as special aunt, Elois Marshal.
The family would like to thank Commonwealth Assisted Living for their care of her over the past 10 years.
Visitation is Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church, Wytheville. Interment will follow in the Church’s Cemetery.
