Opal Worrell

June 2, 1919 — February 8, 2005

WORRELL, OPAL QUESENBERRY, age 85, of Christiansburg, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Claude Kinzer & Menta Jane Taylor Quesenberry. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Worrell.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Clarence Allen Worrell and Dennis Wayne Worrell both of Christiansburg; daughter, Jo Ann Hancock of Bedford, VA; sisters, Sylvia Marshall of Christiansburg; Ugie Poffel of Baltimore, MD; brother, Harley Quesenberry of Woodlawn, VA; grandchildren Katie Melton of Wytheville, Jay Hancock of Bedford, Jennifer Carter of Bedford; great grandchildren, Vanessa Carter of Bedford and Jesse Hancock of Bedford; nieces and nephew, Debbie Ashcraft of Shawsville; Donna Winner of Baltimore, MD and Jimmy Poffel of Port Aransas, WA.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. at the Gateway Baptist Church, Harding Road; Blacksburg, VA with Pastor Dewey Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Quesenberry Cemetery, Indian Valley. The Worrell Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. (382-2612)
