Pamela Kay Kirk Collins, age 44, of Christiansburg passed away Friday, July 13, 2007 at MCV Hospital in Richmond after a long illness.
Born in Giles County, VA, she is survived by her husband, Melvin Junior Collins; sons, Duran Collins (age 13), Zackary Collins (age 6) of the home; her mother, Elizabeth Joan Kirk, Pulaski, VA; her father and step-mother, Harold Gene & Phyllis Kirk, Dublin, VA; sister, Starlet Elkins, Floyd, VA; brother, Calvin Kirk and sister-in-law, Lease Kirk, Christiansburg; nieces and nephews, Eleshia Elkins, Cameron Elkins, Floyd, VA, Brooke, Shaylee and Sierra Kirk all of Christiansburg.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations to help offset expenses be made to The Medical Charities of Floyd, 100 East Main Street, Room 108, Floyd, VA 24091, "In Memory of Pam Collins". The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 Monday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Gregory, Rev. Bill Handy and Rev. J.P. Hale officiating. It was her request to be cremated following the services.
