Patricia Ann (Pat) Belcher Wikle Harrison, age 81, of Roanoke, Virginia formerly of Christiansburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. After being diagnosed with cancer four years ago she continued to enjoy life with her family and friends until a recent decline the last several weeks.
She was predeceased by her parents James Woodrow and Elma Louise (Bland) Belcher; her sister Phyllis Johnson; and her husband of forty years Albert James (Jim) Harrison.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Janet (Rick) Sutphin of Olathe, Kansas and Jackie (Novel) Martin of Roanoke, Virginia, stepchildren Ron Harrison and Christine Noals of London Ontario, Canada, grandchildren Brittany and Matthew Sutphin of Olathe, Kansas, Ashley (Conner) Ensign of Overland Park, Kansas, Courtney Martin of Savannah, Georgia, Natalie and Mackenzie Martin of Roanoke, Virginia and step grandchildren Kate Harrison, Shauna Ewart, Erin, Karna and Robyn Glen of London Ontario, Canada as well as her loving dog Andy. She also treasured Betty Freeman, her lifelong friend of 64 years.
Pat was born in Washington DC on July 24, 1940 and grew up in Gap Mills, West Virginia. She married and moved to Rich Creek, Virginia in 1958 where she raised her daughters and formed many lifelong friendships. She remarried in 1975 and moved to Christiansburg, Virginia where she and Jim enjoyed forty years of memorable family beach trips and numerous cruises. Pat retired from Moog (Poly-Scientific) after 32 years in 2005.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 1:30-3:00 pm followed by a service at 3:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg Virginia with Dr. Pete Schemm of Cave Spring Baptist Church officiating. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Roselawn Memorial Garden Mausoleum.
