MATHERLY, PATRICIA VIPPERMAN, age 68, of Christiansburg, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Lewis-Gale Hospital. A member of the Rebekah Lodge, she was also a hair dresser in Christiansburg for over forty-two years.
She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Leigh Anne and Wayne Davidson, Forest, VA, Julie Phillips, Christiansburg; grandchildren, Cymric, Davidson, Ashlyn Davidson, Payton Phillips and Miranda Phillips; a brother, Ray Lee Moore, Kernersville, NC; her former husband, John N. Matherly, Christiansburg and her beloved pet dog, “Paso”
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 Sunday, Feb. 10th , at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10th, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Richard Kingrea and Rev. Morris V. Fleischer with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
