Patricia Ann 'Patty' Walters

Patricia Ann ‘Patty’ Walters, an angel on earth left her earthly home for her heavenly home on March 16, 2017. Born on December 26, 1945, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Goldie Walters; sisters, Janice Harris, Peggy Hurt; and brother, Lendy Doyle.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Clyde Walters and Audrey Walters, Cline H. ‘Chuck’ and Judy Walters, Jimmy and Marie Walters; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; as well as her special friend, Wayne Reagor.

Special thanks to her friends at Goodwill Industries, Wall Residences, English Meadows, her caregivers Larry and Barbara Hatcher who took such good care of her, and her doctors and nurses at Radford Hospital and Roanoke Memorial.

Patty never met a stranger, loved everyone, especially babies and children. She loved her family with all her heart, and always wanted a hug. Life was better with Patty in it - she taught us what love is. She touched everyone’s heart she met.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Everett Shepherd officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
