Paul Eugene Curtis

December 7, 1938 — December 10, 2023

Paul Eugene Curtis passed away peacefully at sunrise on Sunday, December 10, 2023. He was a lifelong resident of Christiansburg, VA. Paul was a loving husband, father, son and brother. Paul’s wife of 62 years Jean Graham Curtis passed away in August of 2021. They are reunited again in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Paul was preceded in death by his loving parents Lonnie and Evelyn, brother Don and wife Freda, brother Jim Curtis, and brother William “Billy” Curtis.
Paul is survived by his three sons, Mark Curtis and his wife Stephanie of Bridgewater, VA, John Curtis and his wife Melanie of Radford, VA, Keith Curtis of Tempe, AZ, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He is also survived by his beloved sister-in-law Faye Curtis, Billy’s widow.
Paul especially loved his two grandchildren, Ryan and Evan Curtis.
Paul had a unique, straightforward and witty personality. He held a special place in the hearts of many people.
Paul was the owner of Blue Ridge Disposal and Recycling until his retirement in 2018. He was proud of his business, and also the friendships that he made along the way. Paul’s son John worked his entire career with Paul at BRDR. Some ladies at the local bank called them Thunder and Lightning, names that they were especially fond of!
The family would like to thank everyone for their phone calls, texts and condolences over the last few days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul’s name to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, which provides outstanding EMT services.
There will be no services at this time.
