Paul Lynwood Elkins

Paul Lynwood Elkins, 86, of Christiansburg, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Edward and Orpha Caraw Altizer Elkins.
Lynwood is survived by his devoted wife, Clara Sue Carroll Elkins; son, Rick Lynwood Elkins; and siblings, Vernon Delano Elkins, Douglas Dale Elkins, and Helen Elaine Elkins Lovern.
Lynwood retired from Inland Motor/Kollmorgen where he was the senior mechanical inspector of parts for defense and NASA. He was also a professional house and business painter, auto mechanic, carpenter, stone mason, luthier, and song writer – there weren’t too many jobs he couldn’t do. Lynwood was in the Army Reserves and enjoyed playing Bluegrass music. He was a long time member of the Radford Church of Christ, and was the best husband in the world.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 11 a.m. to noon at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at noon in the Chapel, with Rev. John Croft officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
