Helms, Paul Nathaniel, 83, was taken to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Grace Helms, and daughter, Sybilla Pendelton and siblings, Jack Helms, Collie Montgomery, and Geraldine Agee.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois June Helms, son and daughter-in-law, Evans and Shirley Helms; grandson, Jon Hilton, Joseph Hilton and wife, Heather Hilton; great grandson, Chase Alexander Hilton; sister, Karen Sublett; and other special family and friends.
He loved gardening and was a railroad enthusiast. We will forever remember his strong will, strength, knowledge and love for his family and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 15, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Porter Riner officiating. Interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
