Along with her husband and children, she is survived by sister, Susan Hiles; brother, Jerry W. Mathena (Pam); step-grandchildren, Wesley Orr and Jordan Orr and their children, Kaylee and Ayden; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
While raising her family she obtained a degree in Computer Machine Operations from NRCC. She worked at Radford University, but went on to retire from Virginia Tech from the Computer Operations group.
